The Year 2007 has been a challenging year for "A* @ Quality Tuition".

There have been several changes to the teaching scheme which includes:

- Topical based Lesson
- Periodic Test and Exams
- Memory Quizzes
- Focus Revision on weak topics
- Assessment Book and TYS

This year also marked the setting up of http://tuition1989.blogspot.com . In this technological age, "A* @ Quality Tuition" has opened its doors to alternative means of communication such as blogging. With this new implementation, Students will not have to worry about forgetting their schedule anymore.

Hi all :)

2 Students; Tuan Wei and Lixian has went to take their final year exam. I wish them all the best for their exam. As of that, they will stop tuition currently to concentrate on other subjects and also have extra time to relax and enjoy themselves.

Attendance System + Extra Lessons

Due to precautionary reasons, I have came up with an Attendance marking system, such that Students have to sign an attendance form after they have finished every lesson. This is to prevent conflicts between student and tutor about payment dates.

Also do note that extra lessons that are needed to catch up with the syllabus is chargeable. In the event that the student deem the lesson unnecessary, Do inform me and I will make necessary changes.

Value Added-ness is like ...

Just now, I was eating my lunch at home. My sister ate Indian Bee hoon and i ate Char Kway Teow. While munching on my food, a thought came to my mind. What if value added-ness can be like bee hoon, how good would it be??? Therefore, i decided to name this post Value added-ness is like ... BEE HOON.

The word Value added can be divided into two words namely Value and Added.

Definition of Value
Estimated or assigned worth; be it in terms of monetary, Sociology or even quality

Definition of Added
To constitute an addition

So when the word "value + added" comes together, it means adding enhancement to someone or something.

Have you ever bought Bee Hoon from the coffee shop in the morning??? Compare it with the Bee Hoon you see at some chinese restaurant. What similarities and differences do they have?

How are they Similar

- Both plates have bee hoon in it
- Bee Hoon is edible; make us full

How are they Different

- The way both of them are presented; the garnish and ingredients
- Probably the taste and amount
- And also the price

Likewise, Individuals like You and Me are unique individuals of the society; we are all Homo- sapient. But ask yourself this question.

Do I want to be a Restaurant Quality Bee Hoon???

If your answer is YES, follow this guide

1) Add value to your life by improving your skills be it in theory or practice
2) Inculcate a Good value system in you and you will shine above the rest.
3) Have a creative mind, coming out with new ideas and analogies

If your answer is NO, it could be that you do not feel that the time is right ... whatever the case, think about how you can make yourself different from others and add value to those around you.
